Threads Residents

Bass player? DJ? Photographer? Philanthropist? Andrew arthur James nicholson is a multi-named and multi-talented young gentleman. He is also a threads super-resident as well as the current holder of the title for “Worst loser on Pro-Evo 2007”.  when not Djing, taking photos or playing playstation Andrew arthur can be found laying down killer B-Lines for his new band Flat Back 4.

DeanoDeano

Following in the footsteps of fellow musical Wirrallonians John Peel, Elvis Costello and Pete Burns (!), Deano left his homeland to seek his fortune on the streets of the Steel City. Happening on a skip full of records left out the back of an old recording studio, he blagged himself a gig at many a disco until he started Threads. with co-founders Big Jim O’Hara & Little Woodhead. Interestingly, as his DJ prowess grows, so does his gob.

ImageO’Hara

Cut this man in half and you’d see he’s made up of a unique fusion of Henderson’s relish and liquid steel. Sheffield’s answer to Fagan, he has a network of grubby urchins (e.g. Deano) who go out and find him the most valuable music tracks in existence, which he then passes off as his own. Having recently returned from a tour of India where he is now considered a musical guru, he’s determined to build the Threads. empire into the greatest the world has seen.

ImageWoodhead

After being bitten by a radioactive tamborine as a child, Woodhead developed an extraordinary gift for music. Winning ‘BBC young tamborine player of the year’ 3 years running he decided to hang up the trusty instrument and turn his attention to Djing. Tamborine’s loss is most definitely the dancefloor’s gain as he regularly lays waste to Threads. crowds with his musical megaton bombs.

ImageClipboard

Like Pele and Prince, Clipboard is a single named legend. A man whose musical knowledge makes everyone else’s look faintly embarrassing. “fingers in pies” is not only a saying that makes you envisage a particularly sexually aggressive teenager it will also be the epitaph on the grave of Clipboard, who in turn used to be a sexually aggressive teenager. Tuesday Club, Urban Gorilla and Threads have all been touched by Clipboard, thankfully the court cases appear to have quelled Clipboards yearnings for touching other things. So now, clear of his evil despicable yearnings he is free to embellish his reputation as Sheffield’s multi-faceted DJ of choice

The Blurb Master. Writer of Threadsproductions.com.

Coming from the jewel of East Yorkshire (Hull), Jamie spent his formative years locked in a garage listening to happy hardcore and sniffing bags of Uhu with his fellow rapscallions. Nothing good lasts forever and like a fine cheese he matured with age and wearing a rather nice jacket and armed with the entire Housemartins collection, including rarities, he ventured south, well south of Yorkshire, met Deano and blagged his way into writing our musical blurb.
